I've resigned from MoveOn

They asked me why. I tried to keep it simple. Here's what I said:

I'm as anti-the Iraq War as you are. But I loathed the Times ad. Yes, MoveOn got a lot of attention. But so does a guy at a party who gets drunk and drops trou.

Resigned from MoveOn? Why? Over an ad? In publishing it, I just said, let's move on. Stuff happens in war and we are in a war here in the United States over the Idiot-in-Chief's occupation of Iraq. Stuff happens. Come on, Ellen, step up and continue the fight. Don't betray us!

Vigilante: I'm always glad to see your comments here, so please keep coming back and talking to us.

I have lots of other places where I put my money and energy to help get us out of the war and to advance the progressive movement. MoveOn simply is no longer one of them.

And oh yeah, that "don't betray us" was kinda cute. Not.

LOL!

One more tired lecture Ellen. Please don't mis-frame Iraq as a war. It's and occupation. And Bush is an OCCUPATION-PRESIDENT. Afghanistan is the war we should be fighting.
