Saturday Night Sex Blogging...

...is again postponed to Sunday this week, this time in order to catch the Academy Awards in its merciless glare.*

While you're breathlessly waiting for Beyoncé to strut her stuff and for Chris Rock to trigger a seven second delay (or is it five, or three?), ponder this:

Why is the famous statuette ("He looks just like my Uncle Oscar!") buck-naked? And what is the sub-text of the gladiator's sword?

*Sundays actually work better for me. When I started the series on BOP I was afraid that blogging sex on the sabbath was perhaps not PC, but then, what with Saturday being the sabbath for many people throughout the world, that isn't PC either.
